Israel has warned France over a potential threat to its athletes and citizens by Iranian-backed proxies during the Paris Olympics. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz wrote a letter to his French counterpart, Stéphane Séjourné, and said, “We currently have assessments regarding the potential threat posed by Iranian terrorist proxies and other terrorist organisations who aim to carry out attacks against members of the Israeli delegation and Israeli tourists during the Olympics.”
